ASA1 was one of the first amazon affiliate plugins. ASA2 was a rewrite with new API and new features. If you want to migrate away, we give a free easy way.
After activating the plugin you can see a compatiblity menu item in your wordpress backend. You can see the following form.
Activating the compatiblity checkbox and select your configured amazon shop. Select the default productstatus on creation and the enabled shortcode from ASA.
If you set a description via ASA2 you can import the text into feature or description field.
Set your ASA template – the empty template name is the default and select “wide” or something else from the list.
After you configured your settings, click on “Save Changes”.
The plugin is now searching for the ASA shortcode on your website. It is importing the products from ASA in the internal affiliate-toolkit product database.
If the migration was finished, you can disable the ASA plugin. Now affiliate-toolkit should show the templates instead of Amazon Simple Admin.
